MOBILE, Alabama — Alabama-based bluegrass-jam band Rollin’ in the Hay has won a contest. Fan voting made the band one of 10 finalists, and contest judges picked the two winners. The other is Water Knot.

Rollin’ in the Hay is scheduled to appear Friday at Moonlight on the Mountain in Birmingham and Saturday at the Oak Mountain State Fair in Pelham.

The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival takes place June 7-10 in Manchester, Tenn. Top acts include Radiohead, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phish, Bon Iver, the Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Tour, the Shins and the Avett Brothers.
